Meet Shah Atiqur Rahman, Software Engineering Manager, Listing Intelligence. We spoke to him about his function in leading our Listing Intelligence (Search) group and the methods in which he makes a difference at Realtor.com. Here's what he said: Q. Tell us about your team. A. We own nine backend search services that are core to the business's success. One of the most crucial is the Search API, which powers results on the Search results page page. Our tech stack includes Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Elasticsearch, GraphQL, Docker, EKS and AWS artifacts. We also work closely with the Artificial intelligence group to bring AI-driven features to the consumer experience, such as search relevancy enhancements and AI-powered search. We're a collective, friendly team that focuses on strong onboarding and constant assistance. New group members are directed through the ramp-up process till they're positive taking full ownership of their work. Each employee is useful to other staff member when facing challenges. We value a culture where wins are popular openly, and setbacks are owned together. We also make time for team-building, whether it's virtual hangouts or in-person get-togethers, to keep sociability strong. Q. What's your greatest accomplishment so far at Realtor.com? A. I'm most happy with the expert growth I've attained given that signing up with Realtor.com as a Software Application Engineer over 7.5 years ago. Throughout this journey, I have actually developed deep domain know-how, remained updated with developing market practices, and consistently worked with modern technologies. My dedication to and effect led to my promotion to Staff Software Engineer and my role as one of the team's technical leads. Most just recently, I've handled the duty of being the People Leader for the team-an interesting next action that enables me to support others in their development while continuing to drive technical direction. I take pride in the fact that my long period here hasn't slowed my growth-instead, it's been a platform for me to develop technically and handle higher management Q. What should someone wanting to join us in #Tech know? A. Realtor.com offers interesting technical obstacles, from large-scale data handling to real-time search, personalization, and AI/ML combination.
